This policy explains what information Psyche: Godly Origins ("Psyche" or "the app") collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Psyche is made by Box Attack Studios L.L.C. ("we" or "us").
The short version
- You can play without an account.
- Analytics about your quiz answers is collected only if you agree to it.
- Psyche shows ads from Unity Ads, which collects device information to show and measure ads.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
Your quiz progress (current round, current question, and personality scores) and your settings (analytics choice, ad preference, and text-skip preference) are saved on your device. This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Optional account
If you create an account, Unity Authentication (a Unity Technologies service) stores your username, a securely hashed password, and a player ID. If you play without an account, the app may use an anonymous player ID to connect to Unity services. We don't ask for your real name, email address, or phone number.
Analytics (only with your consent)
On the main menu, Psyche asks whether you agree to analytics. Nothing is collected until you accept. If you accept, Unity Analytics records:
- Which answer you choose for each quiz question
- Your result (your godly parent and personality type)
- Standard device and usage information, such as device model, operating system, app version, session times, and a player identifier
We use this only to improve the questions and balance the results. If you don't accept, analytics data isn't collected.
Advertising
Psyche shows banner and full-screen ads through Unity Ads. To show, limit, and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Unity collects information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads and delete or reset your advertising ID.
How we use information
- To run the app and save your progress
- To sign you in if you have an account
- To improve the quiz (only with analytics consent)
- To show ads that support the free game
- To find and fix bugs and crashes
Who we share it with
Unity Technologies provides Psyche's accounts, analytics, and ads, and processes data for those purposes. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We don't sell your personal information.
Keeping and deleting your data
Data on your device stays until you uninstall the app. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Analytics data is kept according to Unity's retention settings.
To delete your account or your analytics data, email [email protected] with your Psyche username (if you have one). We'll confirm when it's done.
Children
Psyche isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used Psyche and shared information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of the "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising. You can exercise these rights by emailing [email protected], and by limiting ad tracking in your device settings as described above. We won't treat you differently for using them.
Security
We rely on Unity's services, which use industry-standard security. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in the app.
